Philippe Vergez
Designer, Creative Director, Freelance Consulting.
Founder and designer of Jee Vice.
Philippe was born in 1959 in Aquitaine, France. He grew up by the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by Art and literature. At age 19 and although a brilliant student, he decided to become fully independent; abandoning his scientific studies for a life of travel and contemplation. During this period, he explored new cultures and forms of artistic expression.
In 1992, he joined forces with Greg Arnette in California to promote a line of sportswear sunglasses with original fittings and designs simply called "Arnette" which found great commercial success. His sense of aesthetics and free spirit brought him many professional opportunities to collaborate both creatively and commercially with the world’s greatest eyewear companies.
In 2003, Philippe imagined and created his own movement exclusively dedicated to women sunglasses and fashion; Jee Vice. The Jee Vice brand by definition personifies its creator: a philosophy which does not compromise either the beautiful authentic form or real world function, that puts your inside out, all with a firm yet subtle Baroque'n'Roll attitude!
Jee Vice was immediately adopted by movie and rock stars, celebrities alike and inspired a generation of women around the globe, have simply revealed in a few years what Philippe Vergez is all about...A poet.
